The Willems^® International Choir / WIC is back!

After a 3-year break due to the pandemic, we are very happy to organise a new meeting for these young Willemsians from Europe!

The meeting is planned to take place in parallel with the 39th International Willems^® Congress, in Udine/Italy, in the same premises: Conservatorio Statale di Musica “Jacopo Tomadini”, from 17 to 22 July 2023.

We have already received 64 registrations:
FR: 31 / ESP: 25 / IT: 8 / SLO: to be confirmed (between 10 and 35)

Divided into 2 choirs according to age:
– WIC 1 from 12 to 20 years old, directed by Mariana Delgadillo
– WIC 2 from 8 to 11 years old, directed by Benjamin Lunetta

Registration is officially closed since April 15, but if an Associate Member school of the FIW missed the boat, it is still possible for a few days…

The children and young people have started to work on the scores provided, with each school organising specific rehearsals at their convenience. The works have been chosen to represent all the cultures of the singers.

The end of course concert will also be the closing concert of the Congress, on Saturday 22 July at 8.30 pm, in the Chiesa di San Pietro Martire in Udine.
