Christophe Lazerges

Co-founder and main actor since 1987 of the Ryméa* music school in Lyon, Christophe Lazerges has acquired a particularly rich experience in Willemsian pedagogical practice with a variety of audiences: early childhood from the age of 3 at Ryméa, but also working in crèches with babies from 4 months old, with children in primary school at the City of Paris (where he began his career in 1980), and also with the master students of the Petits chanteurs de Lyon. At Ryméa, he teaches children, teenagers and adults in solfeggio, piano and choral singing, and also with children and young adults with severe disabilities.

A close collaborator of Jacques Chapuis for the Willems® training courses, he succeeded him as president of the AIEM Willems from 2008 to 2012. He contributed to the renewal of the Willems® Movement by transforming it into the International Willems® Federation and by putting practical pedagogy back at the heart of teacher training.
Internationally, he gave conferences and courses in Spain, Portugal, Brazil and Mexico. From 2009 to 2019 he was particularly active in Colombia where he contributed to the emergence of a new Willems® training centre, and from 2016 to 2020 in Slovenia.
He has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Willems® Movement for some thirty years until July 2023.

Retired from the management of Ryméa, he continues his activity as a teacher and trainer, always willingly sharing his experience without ceasing to question the fundamental principles of pedagogy which he considers to be a living art.
