Alenka Podboj, rojena 1981 v Ljubljani, Slovenija, se je z devetimi leti vpisala k pouku klavirja v Glasbeno šolo Moste-Polje k prof. Nataliji Cimperman-Rakar. Leta 1996 se je vpisala na Gimnazijo Poljane, tri leta zatem pa je vzporedno začela s poukom klavirja na Srednji glasbeni in baletni šoli Ljubljana v razredu prof. Gite Mally. Po opravljeni maturi se je vpisala na študij kulturologije na fakulteti za družbene vede v Ljubljani in kasneje še japonologije ter muzikologije na Filozofski fakulteti v Ljubljani. Zaradi nezadovoljstva s tedanjimi študijskimi programi se je odločila študij prekiniti in se popolnoma posvetiti glasbi. Po opravljeni maturi iz klavirja se je vpisala na Akademijo za glasbo v Ljubljani. Študij klavirja pedagoške in umetniške smeri v razredu prof. Andreja Jarca je zaključila leta 2015.
Že kot študentka je pričela z delom v glasbeni šoli, najprej kot korepetitorka na GŠ Moste-Polje, med leti 2008 in 2012 je učila klavir na Konservatoriju za glasbo in balet Ljubljana, sedaj pa je profesorica klavirja in nauka o glasbi s solfeggiom na Glasbenem centru Edgar Willems v Ljubljani. S svojimi učenci je prejela tudi lepo število nagrad (Memorial Dušan Protić, Beograd l. 2018: 1. nagrada z učencem klavirja; TEMSIG 2018: zlata plaketa z učencem solfeggia; Mednarodno Koroško klavirsko tekmovanje, Radlje ob Dravi l. 2017: zlato priznanje; Tekmovanje Sonus, Hrvaška: prvo mesto z učencem solfeggia).
Medtem je leta 2011 uspešno zaključila tudi usposabljanje za Willemsove učitelje glasbe in prejela Pedagoško diplomo Willems®. Od leta 2016 do 2018 je bila predsednica Slovenskega društva za glasbeno pedagogiko Willems®, trenutno pa je članica Upravnega odbora Mednarodne federacije Willems®, Francija.

Insatisfaite des programmes d’études de l’époque, elle interrompt ses études et se consacre entièrement à la musique. Après avoir obtenu son diplôme de piano, elle s’est inscrite à l’Académie de musique de Ljubljana. Etudes de piano en pédagogie et art dans la classe du prof. Andrej Jarc. Elle est diplômée en 2015.
Déjà étudiante, elle a commencé à travailler dans des écoles de musique, d’abord comme accompagnatrice à l’école de musique Moste-Polje, entre 2008 et 2012, puis comme professeur de piano au Conservatoire de musique et de ballet de Ljubljana, et aujourd’hui comme professeur de piano et de musique avec solfège au Music Center Edgar Willems® à Ljubljana. Elle a également reçu de nombreux prix avec ses élèves (Dušan Protić Memorial, Belgrade 2018: 1er prix avec un étudiant en piano; TEMSIG 2018: plaque d’or avec un étudiant solfège; Concours international de piano de Carinthie, Radlje ob Dravi 2017: prix d’or; Concours Sonus , Croatie: première place avec un étudiant au solfège).
Parallèlement, en 2011, elle a également suivi avec succès la formation des professeurs de musique Willems® et a reçu le diplôme pédagogique Willems®.De 2016 à 2018, elle a été présidente de la Société slovène de pédagogie musicale Willems® et est actuellement membre du conseil d’administration de la Fédération internationale Willems®, France.
Alenka Podboj, born in 1981 in Ljubljana, Slovenia, started studying piano at the age of nine at the Moste-Polje Music School with prof. Natalia Cimperman-Rakar. In 1996 she continued her studies at Poljane High School in Ljubljana, and three years later she continued to study piano at the Music and Ballet High School of Ljubljana in the class of prof. Gita Mally.
After finishing the Poljane High School and the Music and Ballet High School, she enrolled in the Academy of Music (University of Ljubljana), where she studied and graduated in Piano and Piano pedagogy in the class of prof. Andrej Jarc.
Already a student, she started working in music schools, first as an accompanist at the Moste-Polje Music School and later as a piano teacher at the Conservatory of Music and Ballet in Ljubljana. In 2007 she also enrolled the program for obtaining Pedagogical diploma for Willems® teachers, which she successfully finished in 2011. In 2008 she began working at the Music Center Edgar Willems in Ljubljana (GCEW), where she remains employed to this day. Her area of work at GCEW includes all four Pedagogical programs of Willems musical education: Introduction to music (Level 1 and 2), Pre-theoretical and pre-instrumental introduction and Living Solfège. She also works as professor of piano. Her students received numerous awards on piano and solfège competitions (2017: Carinthia International Piano Competition, Radlje ob Dravi: gold prize with piano student; Sonus Competition, Croatia: 1st prize and 1st place with music theory student; 2018: Dušan Protić Memorial, Belgrade: 1st prize with a piano student; TEMSIG, Slovenia: gold plaque with a music theory student;
Since 2011 she is an active member of Slovenian Society for Musical Pedagogy Willems®. At 2016 she became its president, which she remained until 2018. At the same year she became a member of the Board of Directors of the International Willems® Federation, France, where she still actively works.
